I’m Sylvia, French, bilingual, and based in Provence. I grew up here. I know where the light hits the stone walls of Gordes at sunrise. I know which spot on Cap Canaille gives you a view that makes people cry. I know the boat captain in Marseille who’ll take you out to the Calanques and play along with the surprise.
I’ve also lived in the United States and traveled extensively which means I understand exactly what it feels like to plan something life-changing in a country that’s not yours. The time zones. The “is this restaurant actually good?” anxiety. The “how do I even get there?” stress.
That’s why I don’t just photograph your proposal: I plan it with you.

On the day:
- WhatsApp support leading up to the day
- Discreet arrival : I blend in as a tourist, a passerby, a local. Your partner will have no idea.
- 60–90 minutes of photography: the proposal itself + a relaxed mini-session to celebrate your “yes”
- Guidance for the post-proposal photos: no awkward posing, just natural joy

Please note: this package covers your proposal only. If you’d like me to help organize a more complex event around it ( a dinner, a gathering with family, a multi-day itinerary, or full wedding-planner style coordination … ) that’s available as a separate, custom quote and is not included in the 650€ package.

Provence isn’t one place. It’s dozens of worlds, each with its own light, its own mood, its own magic. Here are the spots I love most and why.
Cassis & the Calanques, Marseille area
The wild, dramatic coast of Southern France. Turquoise water, white limestone cliffs, and a village that feels like a secret. Cap Canaille, the highest sea cliff in Europe, offers a view so overwhelming it does half the work for you. Perfect for couples who want something raw and breathtaking.
At sea: Marseille & the Calanques by boat
One of my most memorable proposals happened on a boat off the coast of Marseille, with the Frioul Islands in the background. I boarded as a “friend of the captain.” She had no idea. The Mediterranean did the rest.
Gordes & The Luberon
One of the most beautiful villages in France and one of the most photographed for a reason. At sunrise, before the tourists arrive, it’s another world. Stone, silence, golden light. Timeless.
Les Baux-de-Provence & The Alpilles
Perched on a rocky ridge above the olive groves of the Alpilles, Les Baux feels like stepping into a painting. Dramatic, historic, unforgettable especially in early morning or late afternoon light.
Valensole lavender fields
Only available late June to early July but if your timing aligns, there is nothing like it. A sea of purple as far as the eye can see. A moment that looks like it was designed for exactly this.
Aix-en-Provence
The most elegant city in Provence. Grand fountains, plane tree-lined cours, beautiful light on honey-colored stone. Perfect for a more urban, refined proposal.

Once your date is reserved, we dive into the details. I’ll send you location ideas with photos, a logistics guide, and a step-by-step plan for the day. We’ll chat on WhatsApp, on a call, or by email whatever works for you.
No stress, no confusion.
3. You show up. I handle the rest.
On the day, all you need to do is follow the simple plan we’ve built together. I’ll already be there, invisible, camera ready. You get down on one knee. I capture everything: the surprise, the tears, the yes, the joy that comes after.
FAQ Your questions, answered
How far in advance should I book?
As soon as you have a rough date in mind, ideally 4 to 8 weeks ahead, or more in summer (June–August is very busy in Provence). Last-minute requests are sometimes possible, so always worth asking.
Do you speak English?
Fluently. I lived in the United States and work with international couples every season. English is my second home.
How discreet are you really?
Very. I arrive before you, find my position, and blend into the scenery ( tourist, local, passerby.) Your partner will not see me. It’s something I genuinely love about this work: the art of being invisible until the right second.
What’s the best time of day for a proposal in Provence?
Early morning (7–9am) is my first choice: the light is golden, the villages are quiet, and the atmosphere is magical. Sunset is beautiful too but summer evenings in Provence can get busy, crowded and hot. I’ll advise you based on your specific location and date.
Can you help me choose the location?
Absolutely! That’s part of what I do. Tell me what feels like “you” as a couple (dramatic, intimate, playful, elegant) and I’ll give you my honest recommendations based on the season and logistics. I’ll send you all the necessary details in advance: location, GPS coordinates for the meeting spot, address … I’ll confirm my arrival as soon as I’m at the location where you’re planning to propose, and for major cities, I’ll also let you know about nearby parking lots.
Do you help organize the proposal itself, like a wedding planner?
My 650€ package includes everything needed to plan and capture the proposal moment itself: understanding your story, a 30-minute coordination call, personalized location scouting, and a step-by-step logistics plan. If you’d like help organizing something bigger around the proposal : I’m happy to help, but that’s quoted separately and isn’t included in the proposal package.
What if my plans change after we’ve spoken?
Small adjustments (timing, weather backup, minor location tweaks) are completely normal and included. However, if your plans change significantly ( a new city, a different type of event, or a much more complex organization than originally discussed ) I’ll send you an updated, separate quote to reflect the extra planning time involved.
What happens after the proposal?
We do a short, relaxed mini-session to celebrate the “yes” a few photos of you together, the ring, the joy. It’s the perfect way to let everything sink in while I capture the happiness. Many couples use these images for their Save the Date cards.
Can you organize extras? Venue, hotel, champagne, flowers, a restaurant reservation, content?
Yes! I have a local network I’m happy to connect you with. Just let me know what you have in mind. I work with a whole team of vendors who will make your marriage proposal even more unique than you ever imagined.
Content such as videos for socials, reels and drone shoots are made by my colleague: Lory Borel, La Maison Azur.
How quickly will I receive my photos?
Your private gallery will be ready within 2 weeks. You’ll receive an email with a link to view and download your images. You can choose the option to receive them within 24 hours.
What if the weather is bad?
Provence is blessed with sunshine but weather happens. We’ll stay in touch leading up to the day and adjust if needed. I know backup locations and I’m flexible.
Do you travel outside Provence?
